Introducing our advanced multi-functional wheel, featuring in-hub suspension and split detachable rims, designed for compact, convenient travel and exceptional versatility.

Breaking new ground in wheelchair wheel design

We are a small, passionate team of product designers dedicated to pushing boundaries, particularly in mobility and accessibility innovation.

Our flagship product, HasWheel, is unlike anything on the market. It offers unparalleled comfort and reliability and is designed with solid, low-profile sports car-like rubber tyres. Its unique in-hub suspension system and compact, split-detachable rim design set a new standard for wheelchair versatility and performance. The low profile tread prevents loose ground objects being lodged into the rubber wheel join.

HasWheel breaks through the limitations of traditional wheelchair wheels, enhancing usability both indoors and outdoors.

Key features include:

  • Lightweight Design: The entire wheel weighs just 1.3kg, with the suspension hub at 750g and each rim half at 275g.

  • Customizable Clamping Options: Two clamp arrangements allow for personalized setups.

  • Quick Assembly: The wheel can be assembled in under a minute.

For added convenience, the clamps we showcase in our video are similar to the quick-release locks used on bicycle seat poles, ensuring a secure and hassle-free experience.

Luggage Bag Size: 600mm (L) 300mm (W) 300mm (H).
Both wheels fit into a carry bag with other travel items.

Why HasWheel?

Our design prioritises safety and user convenience. Features like alignment pins and guided edges make assembly effortless while ensuring precise wheel alignment, keeping safety as our top priority. The hub’s robust design, large mating surfaces, and exceptional load-bearing capacity make it the ideal foundation for a split-rim system—perfect for compact, hassle-free travel.

HasWheel is designed to reduce manual effort and enhance comfort. The in-hub suspension absorbs shock from uneven surfaces, minimising vibrations transmitted to the spine. This results in a smoother, more comfortable experience for users.

By addressing discomfort at its source—HasWheel redefines mobility. Plus, our quick-release system ensures easy setup and removal, adding to its user-friendly design.

The HasWheel in action

This video demonstrates a standard wheelchair wheel dropping off a 39mm high edge, simulating an uneven footpath.

You can see the difference between the wheel with our in-hub suspension and the one without. In this video, the same conditions were kept for both tests.

For the wheel fitted with Haswheel Suspension, you’ll notice no spillage from the cup, while the standard wheel suffers bounce and jarring, and then spillage occurs.

This video demonstrates the comfortable cushion effect experienced when using our in-hub suspension. It’s easy to see the suspension hub moving freely resulting in a ride that’s not hard and unforgiving. Our in-hub design suits body weight from 45kg to 110kg. Outside this range, we can modify the design if demand dictates.

The first Haswheel model covers body weight from 45kg to 110kg, which in turn simplifies ordering. A wheel camber easily be added into the design.

This video demonstrates the in-hub design travelling over a 36mm high obstacle; you will notice there is no jarring effect on the user.

This video demonstrates that HasWheel has the same or better rolling ability compared to standard wheels. There is no increased rolling resistance with our suspension on a detachable wheel design.

HasWheel split detachable rim can be assembled in under a minute in anywhere.
